42-The Sukhothai Wihan

The Sukhothai Wihan at the Ancient City was reconstructed based on archaeological and historical evidences; the Wihan is constructed based on the Wihan of Wat Phra Siratana Maha That in Phitsanulok province. However, the Wihan has undergone many restorations since the Sukhothai period; the original form and design have mostly disappeared. Consequently, the Ancient City had to study the plan of another Sukhothai Wihan, for the most anthentic reconstruction of the Sukhothai Wihan.
