28-The Ramayana Garden

Ramayana is an ancient Indian epic telling the story of the migration of the Arayan people into the Gangetic Plain of northern India. A hermit, named Valmiki, who composed the epic in Sanskrit verse. Ramayana came to Siam many hundreds of years ago. The original Ayutthaya version was entirely destroyed in 1767 by Burmese soldiers. A new version was composed by the King Rama I and the court poets.
